I’ve had this out and apart once before and inspected (visually only) for any obvious “wear” or damage and seen NOTHING.
I mean all surfaces of the shafts looked great. No roughness or wear.
Same with all surface that bearings ride on including the inside of the input shaft and inside of the cluster gear.
I mean they really looked good. No pits. No obvious rough areas. Smooth as I would expect.
Even the fit of the sliding gears on the main shaft look good ( seen that yesterday when I removed to shifter tower)
So I’m not sure what I’m going to find this time, but I’m gonna take measurements the best I can to determine wear based on the chart of acceptable limits in Vaughn PIF.
