What was the difference, if any?

Quieter? Cooler running? More mileage?
Or just more leaks at the seals!!

I realize this stuff don’t take away wear issues. Just wondering if it helped quiet gear boxes at all.

I really DID consider trying it to quiet mine, before I pull it once again, even though I must have some excessive worn parts making my “grrrrrring” noise in neutral.

Years ago I used royal purple synthetic in my brand new rebuilt rear chuck that was so damn hot to the touch it burned.

After replacing the conventional gear oil with that stuff I was a believer in synthetic oil. It reduced the temp so much it was unbelievable.

Though that’s the only time I ever tried it in an old truck
