I have heard others say that before. I have to disagree. if you look at a modern hemi combustion chamber the valves arranged in true hemi fashion. poly engines are not. the exhaust on poly engines is vertical over the cylinder and offset to one side.
The only reason the modern hemi chamber is slightly deformed from half a sphere is to include 2 spark plugs per cylinder.
And...... they are faster than the competition. ;/)
