I did not cut the frame as it shows in one of the links. I used a pipe wrench and it was easy to bend the top lip of the frame some like some of the newer dodge trucks have and I cut some of one tang on the strg box itself as you can see in the picture to make the fit good. It works very good and dont seem to take much power to run
