If they are rounded on the sides/cracked they are fatigued. Measure the distance from the frame mount to bottom of the cab where the insulator is. You can also look at the cab floor cover at the shift lever to see how close it is to the transmission top. Bottom line - shim your cab and see if there is a difference between hood and fenders. The fenders are independent of the hood and cab.
