Thanks Tim and Milo . Unfortunately , I’m in NZ , down under , so sending my hubs in would be problematic .
When. It comes to Dodges , and things related , I wish I did live in the States ! Would like to meet you guys at rallies etc .
I’d be happy enough with the original drum brakes the truck came with , but , as more of a greenhorn then than now , I sent my drums into my machine shop to be skimmed out , and he did that by setting them up in a lathe . The result was out of true , so he did it a second time the same , with the same results of course . Only now , there’s not enough meat left to true them properly ! The linings are way oversize now . I do have 3 very good drums , so maybe I’ll find a fourth , and try to find a place that can turn them on their respective hubs .
I would like to see a video or set of photos , showing just how this matching is achieved ., the diagram in the Tm908 , doesn’t explain it clearly enough for me .
Anyone know of a site that demonstrates drum turning on the hub ? Cheers , Paul
