Actually, the 392 was the high block. It had al longer stroke so the block was widened to accomodate it. Same with the 56 and later deSotos and the later dodge super red rams. The little Dodge is the smallest of the hemis and there is still spped equiupment avialable for both the dodge and the Chrysler. The 55 desoto 4v intake will fit the earlier engines but 56 and later does not as the block is wider. I have quite a few early hemi parts sitting around and have lived the things for over 30 years now. the 56m 57 and 58 desotos also uses a 4 V carbs and 2 4v carbs. I have a 57 adventurer dual quad manifold off of same. I also have a proper bellhousing for the early hemis as well as a 3 speed with an an overdrive and a floor shift to make it happen. Anybody interested?
