Forum readers,
I'm wondering what your thoughts are on the way the forum has been going. I'm kinda worried that if people keep jumping on the newer guys and dealers who come here they will do what most would do... leave. I thought it was nice of guys to offer things here first to give us a chance. If you feel the price is too high, don't buy it. The market will bring things in line.

I've seen items bought high on Ebay and then the buyers try to resell the item with a higher reserve. It gets reposted and reposted till they either sell it or sit on it. Don't agree with the practice but it happens with everything.

It amazes me how everyone talks about the rareness and greatness of these trucks, how they wouldn't sell theirs for anything. Then when someone trys to sell a nice, complete one for over $10,000 the are greedy or crazy. Most vehicles of the same era go for much more and were produced in greater #'s.

I agree totally that if you have been ripped off try to work it out with the seller first. If that doesn't work word of mouth will travel fast!!!! Dealers won't last if they do that and I think they would realize it. We have all been burned on something in life and you tend to remeber who did it. I find it hard to believe when a seller gives a description WITH pictures how he can be trying to fool you. Doug's item was listed as a shell not a complete truck and I'd agree with what he said about it.

I'm not trying to preach to you, just concerned that a few people will discourage others from coming here. Joe has been gracious enough to provide a place for us to talk and I for one am thankful.

Let the fireworks come down on me.I am not a dealer or work for one and I'll even post a Email address and forum name. Sorry for the long post, Kevin Foust(Kevin in Ohio)
