Son of a 30 year FDNY Fireman as he was known then. I don't think he ever got used to Firefighter. WWII Army Airforce I also belive the Greatest Generation in 20 Century
( I have had debates about the greatest generation in the US ever, but I bring up the generation that fought against Great Britan in the War for Independence, and then the Civil War. These to me were also Great Generations)
