Dwight, thank you for doing what you do. My father is a retired Fireman, as I mentioned to you in person when we met. He took the events of September 11 very personally, not only because it was an attack on our country, but also because of the many Firefighters who lost their lives when they were trying to move people out of the buildings just before they collapsed. Being the son of a Fireman, I want you and all Firefighters to know that you are appreciated. My appreciation is even stronger when I hear about people like you having to work on holidays when most of us take it for granted that we will be at home relaxing.
