I was in the gun store last Saturday talking to my friend the gunsmith cussing the cost of 44mag and 41 mag cartridges(didn,t do any good I still bought em). The conversation gradually turned to Power Wagons Imagine that and he wanted to know how my seach for his truck was going I told him not well since his wife wanted new furniture andMy shells cost more than he wanted to spend. This is when Dwight calls and says hey there is a W-? something in the truck trader for $1400 runs and drives. Well I came under that dreaded Power Wagon disease my eyes glazed over kinda like the dog when he steals your steak off the smoker and the Women are out there so you cant chase em only cuss them. I ran to the truck and there under assorted 4WD magazines hunting catalogs and assorted paraphinalia, to include the dog was this weeks truck trader unopened and bought fresh off the truck while I was on Patrol in the police car. But had not looked at yet. Opened it up and blew back in the door and gave that fellow a call . YES it was a W-300 and yes that was a 9 Ft. Bed and yes she was in first rate shap with a V8 and just the brakes didnt work very well and I was the 900th caller and The first caller bought her and he was going right home to weld up a deer stand and weld it in the back and he now had the biggest truck in the deer camp. It could be worse the last time this happened It was a uncut running command car early for $3000 an elderly lady had finally decided to sell her departed spouses projects.
