Awhile back I posted on here about identifying a hemi I have. It came out of a 1957 D800 schoolbus. I come to find out that it is a 450 cu in Hemi. Some of you acknowledged that you had heard of them.
Now my question is, does anyone know where I can find some more technical information about this seemingly rare engine?
I was told it was built by Herkins(sp)for Dodge. I thought the previous owner meant Perkins, however, when I emailed Perkins, they said they never built an engine to that capacity. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am planning on installing it in my '60 W300 PG.
