the least expensive solution is to to go to centered rear end. in over 30s only seen one broken and it was on the is forum a member that is quite hard on the rig and has a v8. i used to have a WC54 with v8 and never broke any as a lead footed kid. never broke any in WCs with flahteads either. with 36 or taller tires you would break dana 60 axles as well if they had the same offset as the PW and M37. one thing I dont like about dana 60s and 70s is the pinion set up is weak. no comparison to the 9 5/8" chrysler unit.
