... years ago there were folks who made a regular sport of "scam-baiting" - www.scamorama.com. The idea was to waste the scammers' time in order to spare real victims. The grand prizes were photos of the scammers holding silly signs, or else getting small amounts of cash from them. I once got a phony check for $600,000 USD by international overnight mail, which cost them a bit.
