Anne is registering us for the rally today and getting a room reserved.
This will be the first time we make the trip WITHOUT a Power Wagon....unless something changes between now and then...so if anyone has enough room for 5 more on the trail rides, I would appreciate it!
I am still planning on putting a 4.236 Perkins in the WC but the "normal" winter weather conditions have put me behind on other projects and delayed some important parts collecting...one of those transactions will also supply the Cummins for the Carryall project. I am going to turbo the 236 and should be able to safely push out 90 horse or so and I have an idea to modify the block with oil squirters to cool the pistons, but I haven't torn into the motor to figure out where to tap into the oil system yet. The Perkins will mate to a T176 with a Dana 300. It's not an ideal transmission, but it should handle what that motor will dish out. While I have it torn down for the motor swap, I am going to do the disc brake conversion and repaint everything in OD.
