I’m learning what it’s like for you east coasters!
I’m building 2 large new shops on my property in Sorrento, BC. So you’ve never had to have building permits in this area but starting Mar 4th you do...so everyone in the area is going nuts trying to get their foundations in. If your foundation is in by the 4th then you don’t have to apply for the building permit or deal with the city morons.
So...the problem is it was -4F here yesterday! So I have 60 yards of concrete being poured this morning & it’s been a giant task renting insulated tarps & giant diesel frost fighter heaters. I had to drive 10hrs return trip to get heaters because every heater in the vacinity is rented.
So now, the closest diesel is a half hour away & I have these heaters running preheating...I’m running back & forth with every Jerry can I have in order to keep all these fuel gobbling contraptions running! Oh...then I need gas as well or the generator quits!
Man...I don’t know how Paul in NY does it!!!
I feel like a babysitter!
