Most propane regulators have an idle adjustment mixture screw (or serrated knob). I cant tell you about your exact setup, but the regualtor should have an idle adjustment built in, for the very reason you are describing. Note this is not the carb, but the propane pressure regulator. Look for a screw with a spring under it.
