I agree, Michelin tires are great. I have never had to balance a set on my trucks which is amazing. Bias tires are always lumpy after sitting and can take a long time to smooth out.

I wonder if part of your issue is tire balance. Additionally, my ffPW, at first, always had a frond end/steering wheel shake at about 45 mph. There would be no noticeable shaking at either slower or faster speeds. There seemed to be a harmonic happening at 45. I could rotate tires around with little effect. When I finally went through the front end bearings, bushings and all the steering linkage and put on the Michelin tires everything settled down.

The cause was an unbalanced out of round tire that would shake a little at 45 mph. However, sloppy busings, worn steering linkages and worn knuckle bearings allowed the vibrations to amply. It wasn’t a death wobble but it was quite noticeable.
