For me, I would buy a repo. I bought an original from a guy who wanted to put a flatbed on his. The four sides looked pretty good so I paid his asking price. After blasting the pieces I had to buy a repo front panel and a tail gate.
The rear crossmember, which is very important to the assembly, had been hit and straightened by the previous owner, with many dings and dents left to be repaired. The sides took several hours of body work before I could prime them.
If I could do it over again, I would buy a repo.
