LOL

I have an ecodiesel in my '79 CJ and love it. 130 horsepower, about 240 lb/ft torque, and I haven't put fuel in it since I did the conversion. I even have the hood badge to prove it.

Im kidding. It's really a warmed over 1981 (according to the numbers) 6.2 Detroit Diesel, but I do have an EcoDiesel sticker on the nose of the hood for laughs. It sounds real mean through a 3" knock off flowmaster and it fit my requirements at the time which were cheap, no un-natural holes, and mechanical fuel injection.

Wife and I considered getting a Jeep with the 3.0 until I dug into it and between the additional option cost, special oil, timing belt and tensioner changes every 30k miles and finicky injection system, I decided I'm going to buy a school bus with a 5.9 cummins and swap it into an old Wagoneer to be about 40 grand less than the Grand Cherokee.
