Thanks for all the feedback! I will adjust a couple things I'm doing for the next 100 miles, then change the oil and have fun with it.
I like the idea of the magnet on the end of the drain plug. I'm a little concerned that it might latch onto the pan threads when removing it. Maybe I can countersink it a bit into the drain bolt, or epoxy it onto the end.
