I just got home from the West Virginia Power Wagon Rally. This year I decided to try something new. Instead of trailering my truck to the Rally, I would drive it! Round trip ended up being just shy of 1500 miles and the truck ran beautifully the entire way. Had one minor electrical issue pop up while in a friends garage. cant beat that for convenience! This is the truck that my Girl Scout Troop re-built the engine on, and here is proof that they did an awesome job. I cruised along between 60 and 65 very comfortably. This morning in a pack of wild New Jersey drivers I had to take her up to 80 not to get run over! Did not stay that fast for long, but the truck felt and sounded the same as if was doing 60. That is a new speed record for the truck and I am happy to let it stand.
The Rally, as always was a blast. It is great to catch up with friends you have not seen for a year or more, and have it seem like it was last week. That is what true friendship is all about.
Thanks to Dave the rest of the Horvath clan for all of the work you guys put into making this event happen.
Tim
