Mine were frozen solid. I was able to get all of them working great. The key thing is to absolutely not damage the arms or the base plate. They are very difficult to find. The wonder mechanisms can be rebuilt or replaced. The usually lock up due to dirt and rust in the winder. The winder can be removed cleaned and put back onto the base plate.
