'49 B1PW Lefthand studs

Starting brake work and after much cursing found all wheel studs, both sides, are left hand threads. I expected the left side but the right side is as well. The stud ends are marked w "L" and the nuts are stamped "LEFT" Is this normal or does it make my truck more valuable? Ha ha!
