Just be careful who you hire and what their credentials are.
I've had good AND bad experiences off that site.

A lot of guys whom I've met off that site are just regular tractor guys looking for a little extra cash to support their tractor hobby. Most trailer their own rigs to shows so they look for extra cash to fund them in between.

Nothing wrong with that. I'm all for it.but. Beware of some characters out there lurking.

Case in point:

I placed an ad asking for transport of an M37 from Missouri to me here in southeast Oklahoma on that site.

I got a call from a guy BEGGING me basically to take the load. He "really" needed the money with the holidays coming. I asked him if his rig was adequate for the weight. " oh yes sir no problem"!

Sure.

Guy shows up after countless calls he is lost and asking where the next gas station is
(Like I even knew where he was en route right?)
Telling me these hills and inclines were robbing him of decent mileage, his truck is straining , etc.

He tells me he wouldn't have done the job "so cheap" if he knew what he now knew!

Pissed and moaned every time he called me that if he "only knew" he would nt have taken this job!

Well he gets here, thanksgiving eve by the way, late.

He has a beat the hell 1/2 ton Chevy 2x4 truck with gasoline engine with just as beat up bumper pull trailer totally inedequete for the job.
The rear bumper was dragging and nearly torn off thectruck as he pulled in. (Another gripe I had to listen too, like it was my fault)

In other words, be careful who answers your ad.
Ask what vehicle he will be towing with (I didn't)
Ask what trailer he has (I didn't)
Ask if he is licensed( I didn't)

Damn lucky my new purchase made it to me.

On the other hand my last job was answered by a super guy with 3500 Cummins dodge and 3 axle car hauler with 5th wheel.

Man was totally insured and safe equipment for the job.

If you want his name I'll drop it off line.
But he is a Texas guy and not sure his distances.
