Pretty much right for most countries back then. The door lock was always on the "passenger" side (right for LHD and left for RHD) because that's the side that was near the curb - a safe location - lock driver door from inside, then slide over and out passenger side - parking lights had to be displayed when parked at night beside a highway unless you were parked under a street light - also there was often a switch at the rear of the vehicle for the tail light/s you had to turn on at dark, it was to ensure you checked the tail light/s was working.
