But other sites say it was still a green diamond, just with a larger bore through 1944.
Didn’t see the gear ratio or weight listed. My dad said the marines were still using a few in the early ‘60s when he was a Jeep driver and he had ridden in one. Whenever we saw one come up for sale, he’d say “too slow!”.
I have one of the 1.5 ton 4x4s, M3H4 (I think the H means hardcab), in my yard, used it for a boom truck for years - it has not had an easy life. It has a ohv blue diamond 269 and a 17% OD 5 speed.
