I accidentally started a grass fire last evening. I was grinding off the excess weld from the new flatbed. Thought the sparks were safe on the gravel driveway. I was completely covered w eye and ear protection but I thought I smelled cigarettes when the wife comes running at me w the hose. What the heck? I turned around and saw that I started the field burning. Sparks traveled 10ft and were picked up by the wind. Only 4x8 but it was moving towards the higher grass. Luckily it was moving away from my truck. It's dry out there!
