wow thats a new one.
you wrote above installing the new diff the gasket fell apart. the NOS gaskets I have used from Dave Cirillo are indestructible. I dont know where you got yours but maybe they were compromised by moisture at some point in their life? all the NOS I get are a black paper that is extremely tough.
