I don't think its a vent issue because I vented the tank and added fuel when the electric pump lost suction. It had no effect on it.

The condenser might be the problem. I never thought of that. It goes along with my original thought that it felt like an electrical issue, the way it went on and off like a switch.

There is an ongoing issue where the mechanical fuel pump can't prime the carb under the starter. If it doesn't fire right off the bat, it won't until you pour some gas down it. Sometimes, if its sat longer, it'll fire up then die before the carb gets primed, and again, you're back to pouring gas down the carb.

Something floating around in the tank? That's also a possibility. Its a new tank so its pretty shiny inside. I wonder if there's a way to have a look around in there?
