Hi Dave, They ride pretty well with the XLs, kind of like a secondary suspension, even with the 10,000lb GVW and empty. A little bouncy, but OK. A friends 62 was originally a dually flat bed and now a 9ft with the XLs. I worked on it a bit. My dually crew cab rides like a 2 ton with GY wranglers and 9' utility box.
PS: I have a 64 W300 CC illustration almost done and a normal one soon. What year is yours? I am guessing 69-71.
