The truck is fully serviced, changed all fluids (engine, gear, axles, differentials). Also cleaned both axles, changed the grease in the front-axle swivels, and at the same time I completely serviced the brakes on all four wheels (new brake cylinders, new brake shoes).
Changed some of the oil seals (main & transfer). As a result, there is only minor oil dripping when the truck is standing still for long periods
Next step was completely restored the manual steering gear (new oil seals, grease etc.). Now steering gear is perfect also.
The engine was completely done. It runs perfectly like "a sewing machine"
Completely overhauled the carburetor (cleaning, new seals, new jet etc.)
The mechanical drivetrain from the transfer case, to the winch, works perfectly. The truck runs great, and we used it sometimes as show truck on fairs, and of course driving in the summer.
You need to know its real truck feeling. The Dodge doesn´t go fast; it is loud and changing gears requires some experience/training as it is a non-synchronized gear (double clutch when shifting up; double gas when shifting down) - not always easy, but after a while I learned it
All in all I would say it’s a honest, nice and of course rare truck
