I had the dog dish type rust out on my Poly, so I used a rubber donut one. They have a washer on each side with a bolt through the middle which squeezes the rubber to tighten to the hole. Advantage is you can remove it to clean out the water jacket and no sealer... disadvantage is no freeze protection, but it is in just one hole at the back. Also I put brass drain cocks on each side of the front of the block for getting a good flush of the water jackets.
