Paul, your take on things are funny. Listing clearly says Extended Long Block for sale for $4799.99...normal long block doesnÕt have the front gear cover, tin cover, water pump etc. No where do I make it sound like it is a running engine...hence the long block part.
Also if I didnÕt list everything that comes with the extended long block, I would receive a ton of customers asking what comes with the extended long block ? IÕve been dealing with the cummins for 25 years, so I do know a thing or two about how most customers think. Lay it out for them so there is no doubt what they are getting for the cost...simple as that.
I also nicely have a box a customer can click, so for free I will install any of the optional parts on the engine for free. You made it sound like the ÒoptionalÓ parts have to be bought. Nope.
I list manufacture as Cummins/DieselTuff because if some of the optional parts where bought, itÕs me that modifies/builds them for more performance, so DieselTuff would be part of the build.
As Dan pointed out, Cummins doesnÕt sell any 3.9L 4bt engines in N.America period.....how would you think a warranty would be even possible ?
