The ad form Diesel Tuff is interesting, yet some what confusing. I always try to really read a ad and determine just what or what not the seller is saying. This must be done.

The price of the 4bt long block as listed $4799.99. The ad further says optional part to be added to engine. The $4799.99 is NOT a ready to run engine. Going down the list of optional parts comes up with what is called an “Adjusted Price”. The optional parts if Diesel Tuff or the buyer install will make a running engine. The now, adjusted price comes out to be $9506.99. The cost of the engine has now doubled in cost.

The ad says the engine is a brand new Cummins long block. period, thats what it says. The the ad goes on to list all the new genuine Cummins parts in the long block. If this was a complete
long block built with all the parts listed, there is no need to say the parts are genuine since Cummins built it. My mind is thinking that Diesel Tuff buys a brand new Cummins Long Block. Then buys all the Cummins parts inside and assembles the engine. The following appears at the end of the ad,
it lists the manufacturer as being Cummins/Diesel Tuff. If this is true, which it appears likely, kiss off any Cummins complete guarantee.

The above does not make this a bad deal, nor does it make it a good deal. The decision is up to the buyer. I, myself, spending almost $10K, want the Big Chrome ‘C’ guarantee.
