Had a call out the night I was packing, got home at 12 midnite and said to heck with it we will pack tomorrow, of course we got away late.
Had to stop once on the Coquihalla highway up near the summit to let the engine cool down. The trip up the grade was not fast, and most of the time was in the big rig lane. With all the gear and spare tire I suspect we are close to 7000 lbs. Because it was late I pulled off on a side road and camped in the bush. The bugs where real bad, like seriously real bad and every one of them had me on their menu. Swallow grizzlies from about 500 feet away, I made some noise and both stood up.Those darn things stand about 12 feet tall when they raise ether arms to have a look. They dropped and slowly wandered off, i was quite ready to jump in the truck and leave whatever was outside of it on the ground and drive away.

Picked up a mangled rust free door - for the inside parts, while mounting the door I can just make out RCAF on the door.

headed home and while on the ferry my radiator starts leaking. Looks like it has split a seam. This is a new core radiator using the old tanks. Another item that I had done by a shop that has not held up. A rad should be good for a decade and 200 thousand miles if treated right. Just sneaking up on 8000 miles on the Carryall.

I will post pictures and update on the carryall thread.

Swing out tire carrier did not miss a beat. The door latch mechanism I used for locking it in place works great.

take care
Bruce
