Alaskan makes the best pop up Camper. The only issue with most pop ups is that the fabric sides lets a lot of heat enter or escape so they can be very hot or cold. Another issue is some require you to tuck the fabric in as you close it. You need a step ladder to tuck the fabric in on some especially if your truck is lifted. Some do not require you to tuck in the fabric. I watched two pop up campers last month. One was a tuck in and the other was not. The tuck in version was real pain for the couple. I did not take note of the brands.

The whole process seems to be a pain especially when your standing out in the rain. Additionally, the doors are really short and you have to really duck down or crawl in.

Good friends of ours bought a pop up trailer several years ago because it was light enough to tow with their toy truck. Their comment after several years of use is that it was a mistake as they can’t use it in cooler weather as they freeze at night or the heater is running 100% of the time.

The Alaskan Camper has been around for decades and is highly sought after. Even the very old ones are sought after. It as a hard top and bottom with no fabric in the side walls. See the link below.
