So I've buttoned up the Carryall. Found another issue that could cause blown head gaskets. The manual I've been using is for a WWII truck with studs. My engine is from an M37 with bolts. The torque for studs would be different than for bolts. One is fine thread and the other is course. Sure enough, looking at the M37 manual, the stud torque was 52.5-57.5 the bolt torque is 65-70 ft lbs. Last time I under torqued the bolts.

But now I noticed on my last trip and today, my oil pump is leaking. The seam around the pentagon seeps oil as the machine runs. Is this a common issue? Does it mean anything other than a blown gasket? Is it a blown gasket? Can I just pop off the pentagon cover and replace the gasket? I still have 50 lbs pressure while driving.

Thanks!
