perhaps not this time but if you blow another head gasket get some studs that will engage the full depth on the bolt holes in the block. Your torque values will be more accurate and you can raise them a bit over stock.
If you want longer bolts will a 3 inch work if you cut off 3/8 the of the end? Just slide a nut on and zip cut the end off and dress it with whatever works??
Still working on my spare tire carrier. it is now coming together.
Going a trip this week.
