So after getting all frustrated with the $%^@ truck last night. I canned everything, watched videos with the wife and slept on it. By this morning I'd been able to do some thinking. What numbers to check to prove that I was sent the wrong parts. (Never my fault) I'd already measured cup clip to cup clip, so the next thing was to measure the inside of the driveshaft yoke and compare it with the one I took out. Laying under the truck in so-so conditions I measured.. .007" Well, they were able to make it work. Must really be my fault.
After looking really close at both driveshafts, still laying under the truck, I realized Tim was right and theirs was mashed in closer on the bits that were in the yoke. Back to the C clamp and really paid attention to what was going on.
And that did the trick!
So, sorry for blaming VPN & not listening to Tim. The truck is running again and we're off to locate a burger out there.
