I will be glad to help as I have done it as I said. On my carryall the floor and cab were not really attached. All the welds on all the door posts were broken as well as all 4 corners of the tailgate opening. The top of the door frames were also cracked and the 4 corners of the windshield were also broken. I had a metal shop bend a new real support channel at a minimal cost. The one you found gone is often rusted out. The ends of that channel are tapered which allows water to collect in the center of it.
