Chrysler certainly did make dual carb dual exhaust matched manifolds for the the 265 (maybe 251 also).

If you look at the advertisements from the 40s-50s (I have the adverts but can't find them just now) for the bigger 1-1/2 -2 ton trucks, they have pictures of the manifolds in the adverts. I do not believe these were ever available for Power Wagons.

They are heavy cast iron outfits with a balance tube for the carbs. These are definitely not like the aftermarket aluminum dual intakes which were available for both the 230 and 251 engine families.

I have a lot of "speed" equipment for these engines. I have both aftermarket stuff like Edmunds and Fenton, and I also have the Chrysler setups. By the way, Dave Butler used to have one of the Chrysler setups on the wall at his place, but I didn't see it there last year.

I don't want to sell this stuff but might trade for things I need. But what I need is not easy to find either!

If you want to track down a Chrysler setup, check the bigger trucks at salvage yards. Also, try Canada...I got a couple there. I think they may have been used on 50s Chrysler cars there (but not in the US).

Now one question I still don't have an unabigous answer to...was the "Spitfire" head used on both the 251 and 265 car engines. Chrysler cars switched from a 251 to a 265 about 1952....DeSotos I think continued with the 251s. Were the Spitfire heads used on the Chryser 251s and 265s...and were they used on DeSoto?

Thanks

George
