I highly recommend Ray's kit. Makes life a lot easier than cobbling it up yourself.
You should also consider the disc brake conversion, because you'll be tempted to up the sped from 45 mph (flathead) to 55+ mph (V-8). You'll REALLY fond out how obsolete the drum brakes are at that point. They are not self-energizing.
