I posted this message on the P-15-D24 board, but would to poll the readers here also.
I have a number of cylinder heads from 218 and 230 engines, including Fenton, Edmunds and Chrysler aluminum ones.....some of these may have been milled.
I would like to measure the combustion chamber volumes so I could estimate the compression ratio when mounted on engines of various displacements.
Does anyone know how the factory would have done this or what the factory specs are? I have equipment to measure volume very accurately, but the method of measurement will give different answers. For example, are the sparkplugs in or out during the measurement?
If I could find factory specs, I could try different measurement systems to find the one which seems to correspond with the factory method.
Thanks for any help or leads,
My link has Power Wagon stuff, but I have beautiful 1948 business coupe too.
