My Bombardier tracked snow cat uses a Chrysler 251. I tore the Bombardier down to a bare frame for a Zero Time rebuild. I got pressed for time and had Jasper Engines rebuild the engine. Actually they did a swap for a engine already rebuilt. I now have 300 hours on the Jasper rebuilt 251 and it runs great........not a problem whatsoever.
I dropped off the old engine at one of their drop off points, it was trucked to Indiana and they returned the rebuilt. Total time 10 days at a cost of $1575.00. If they do not have a rebuilt in stock and have to rebuild yours, the price does go up some.
