I didn’t want to break my neighbors bearing splinter, so I returned it to him and went out and bought the same one from Harbor Freight this morning. My brother came over for moral support and using the bigger bearing splitter dish, the bearing broke free with a snap and from there it just slid down the pin nicely with minimal force applied on the splitter. I must admit, I had my doubts about a $40.00 bearing splitter. I was pleasantly suprised. Now, if I can just find the right slide hammer jaws to remove the drive shaft oil seal. Maybe I will drill 2 small holes opposite each other and screw in some sheet metal screws, make a plate attach the puller and see what happens.
