Has anyone ever broken a u-bolt? I have broken leaf springs, wheel studs, center pins, spring shackles, axle shafts, and even twisted a couple driveshafts but have not yet broken a u-bolt. I did see a stud on a front Dana 44 from a mud 70s Dodge break once. I believe with the stud it loosened and because it is rigid it bent and broke. I am seriously curious if anyone has ever seen a broken u-bolt and the conditions that caused failure.
