they had a terrible reputation for breaking down. the aluminum engine just wasn't up to the job. the late mopar Norm worked the motor pool in Viet nam and said they were always just sitting broke down and everyone just used M37s instead. there is a reason thye lost the contract to build that class of truck after 2 years. it was a flop. I think one could be great with a different engine tho. the running gear is tough.
