I finally crawled under the Carryall, jacked up the front of the body, pulled out the old wood blocks and replaced them with shiny new blocks from Midwest Military.
I'm pretty sure I've cured the driveshaft rubbing on the bottom of the cab issue. And the brake petal rubbing on it's pass through hole issue. Even the driver's door is better in that I no longer need to reach outside and lift it by the handle to close.
But I can no longer close the hood.
Its looking like there was very little holding the body to the frame. I've seen one (1) bolt so far that was actually through undamaged frame and body bolt holes. Although the nut was backed off and rusted about 1/2" away from anything. I can feel another, but it may not actually have anything left in the body to attach to.
And a lot of empty holes where you'd think body mount bolts should go.
Question though. I have a bunch of rubber pads and a bunch of canvas pads. I was thinking rubber between body & frame. Where do you use the canvas pads?
