I pulled the original shocks off the front of my 49 and took them down to my local Napa. The owner took quite awhile taking all the measurements. He matched them up to a pair of Monroe 66684 Gas-Magnum 60 shocks. They fit perfectly and they've been on my truck for 2 years now without any issues.
